Question about task completion on timeout

Hello,

      I have a question about the timer on the task. My requirements is that When the timer expires, the workitem should go back to the unoffered queue of the administrator. But the semantics of the timer is that what ever might be the status of the task, the task will be completed. But instead of that I want task to be again reallocated to the other participant , which is possible if that appears in the unoffered queue.

Could anyone give me some insight on to how to tackel this.
